Abstract :

T his work was conducted as part of the HIV-QUAL project. This is a methodology that aims to identify a problem and develop strategies to address them in order to improve the score indicator to establish sustainable mechanisms for quality of care. The project was focused on "Monitoring immunological (CD4 Test realization)" indicator. It is the proportion of patients who have a CD4 test performed during their enrollment and after 6 months of treatment. A CD4 count measures the level of immunosuppression associated with HIV infection. The score for the indicator in question is 24.4% complete CD4 testing, according to the HIV-Qual report July-December 2012 for the Jacmel site. Of nearly 100 patients requiring CD4 testing for 6 months included in the report, only 24 have benefited from this test. The most staff involved in this project is the care team and laboratory staff. The cause of the problem is due to a lack of coordination between the teams involved and a delay on the update files on the electronic system for tracking. It has been proposed as a possible solution to address the list of patients requiring a CD4 test and implement a mechanism for the realization of real-time test
