The Biomedical model of mental disorder posit of Human Brain Mental diseases and emphasizes pharmacological treatment to target presumed biological abnormalities. During this period, the psychiatric medications has sharply been increased and mental disorders have become commonly regarded as Brain diseases caused by chemical imbalances that are corrected with disease-specific drugs. However, despite widespread faith in the potential of Neuroscience to revolutionize mental health practice, the biomedical model era has been characterized by a broad of lack clinical innovation and poor mental health outcome. Mental disorders are brain disease caused by neurotransmitter dysregulation genetic anomalies and defects in the brain structure and function. Therefore, Psychotropic medications works by correcting neurotransmitter imbalance that cause the mental disorder. The biomedical model assumes that mental disorder like schizophrenia, major depressive disorder, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and substance use disorder are biologically- based brain disease. In conclusion, the Biomedical model notion that mental disorders are biologically- based brain diseases pervades the healthcare system globally. Treatment utilization trends, Grant funding priorities, education campaign. Evidence-based psychosocial theories and treatment have faded into the background and neglected. Therefore, an open critical dialog regarding the consequences of the longstanding dominance of biomedical model is urgently needed, and public dialog about the validity and utility of the biomedical paradigm is urgently needed and be debated in all clinical psychology with respect to the influence of biomedical methodology on psychotherapy research. Debate regarding the strengths and weaknesses of the RCT method the differential effectiveness of different of psychotherapies and dissemination of ESTs regularly occurs in scientific journals. Conclusively on the keywords: Biomedical; Biopsychosocial model; Chemical imbalances; Disease; psychotherapies; Treatment.
