C hildhood Envenomation is not uncommon and children usually come under attack of venomous animals accidentally. Venoms are usually delivered directly into circulatory system by different venomous animals like Snake, Bee, Ant, Wasp, Spider etc. venoms can cause Kidney Injury. In Bangladesh Insects of order Hymenoptera (bee, wasp, ant etc) are common venomous Insects causing kidney injury in children. At National Institute of Kidney Diseases and Urology, Dhaka, Bangladesh, we treated 7 patients of Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) due to Insect venoms. Six of them needed Intermittent Peritoneal Dialysis (IPD), out of 7 patients, 06 survived. So AKI due to insect bite can be treated by IPD a better outcome

Currently he is the Associate Professor & Head of Department of Pediatrics Nephrology at the National Institute of Kidney Diseases and Urology, Bangladesh.
