Biography

D. Dharaneeswara Reddy is working as Assistant Professor and member of BOS in Department of Biotechnology, Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College (Autonomous), Tirupati, Chittoor Dist, Andhra Pradesh, INDIA. He has received his M.Tech and M.Sc in Biotechnology from JNTH University and S.V.University during the period of 2008 and 2000 respectively. He has 4.6 years of Industry experience and 9 years of Teaching and Research experience. He worked as Scientist and Manager in Biotechnology Centre, Hyderabad during 2006-08; as Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology in Alfa College of Engineering & Technology during 2004-06; as Production Manager in AG Bioteck Laboratories (I) Ltd., Hyderabad during 2000-03. He worked as a guest faculty and course in-charge to M.Sc., Microbiology and also served as the subject expert, BOS of the Biotechnology Department, Sree Ramakrishna Degree College, Nandyal, during 2004-2006. He guided 18 students for M.Tech in Biotechnology and many students for B.Tech, M.Sc and B.Sc in Biotechnology. His research has included Cancer biology, Nanobiotechnology, Biosensors and Plant Biotechnology, based on this teaching and research, and experience he has received awards and honors, such as: Fellow award-2010 by Society for Applied Biotechnology, Invited teacher participant in second platinum jubilee meeting of Indian Academy of Sciences and DST mentor for summer/winter camps and other Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) initiatives, Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Science and Technology. He is serving as an editorial member of reputed journals like Journal of Advanced Research in BioScience and Biotechnology and Journal of Advanced Research in Life Sciences and Applications, & Reviewers for journals like Analytical and Bio-analytical techniques and Journal of Biosensors and Bioelectronics. He has authored six research articles and two books. He is a life member and Fellow in Society for Applied Biotechnology (FSAB); Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and Bioengineering; Membership in Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA).
