Helena Solleiro Villavicencio
Biography
Helena Solleiro holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological and Pharmaceutical Chemistry and a PhD in Biomedical Science. Throughout her professional career she has worked as a research assistant at the National Institute of Respiratory Diseases, as an Associate Professor at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, as a visiting Scientist at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, and is currently an Associate Professor in the Genomics Graduate School at the Autonomous University of Mexico City. She has given undergraduate and graduate courses of Physiology, Chemistry, Immunology and Microbiology.
As a researcher she studies the inflammatory response in some diseases (neurodegenerative, COPD, asthma, COVID-19, etc.) and conditions (parasitic infections, exposure to pollutants, etc

Inflammation and immune regulation in health, disease and related to pollution exposure.
