Biography

Mr. Ibrahim Taiwo Adeleke holds HND & B.Sc. in Health Information Management (HIM), B.Sc. in Computer Science and he is a Postgraduate student in Health IT. Currently, he is working as HIM professional with Federal Medical Centre, Bida, Nigeria and the Head of Health Information Department of the hospital for over a decade. His research has included data quality in healthcare, health information management, health informatics and education for health information. He is the foremost Infodemiologist and Health IT guru in Nigeria. Based on his research and relevant training, he has received several awards and honors such as Research Excellent Award by the National Council of Health Information Managers’ Association of Nigeria. He is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like American Journal of Health Research, World Journal of Preventive Medicine, the International Journal of Health Information and he is expert Reviewer for journals like Journal of Medical Internet Research, African Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, Information Development, BMJ Open, IMAN Medical Journal, Medical Sciences and Health Information Management Journal. He has authored 19 research articles in reputable journals, reviewed over 40 scholarly articles, presented scientific papers in many fora and has taught relevant HIM and Health Informatics courses over the years. He is the Founding Director of Health Informatics Research Initiatives in Nigeria, Pioneer Secretary/Member of Centre for Health & Allied Researches, Officer/Member of the Islamic Medical Association of Nigeria and Life Member of Health Information Managers
