Dr. Yu received his PhD degree in Computer Science from Vanderbilt University in 2004. His advisor is Prof. Stephen R. Schach. He received his MS degree from Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Science in 1995 and his mater thesis advisors are Prof. Douxing Li and Prof. Hengqiang Ye. He received his BS degree in Physics from Jilin University in 1992 and his advisor is Prof. Chengxiang Zhang. Before joining IUSB, he was a visiting assistant professor at Tennessee Tech University. During his sabbatical of Spring 2014, he was a visiting faculty at New York Institute of Technology-Nanjing. His research interests include software coupling, software maintenance and software evolution, empirical software engineering, and open-source development. Here is the list of his publications.
