Biography

Dr. Rami El Assal is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Canary Center for Cancer Early Detection at Stanford University School of Medicine, Stanford, CA. Before moving to Stanford, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Medicine at the Harvard-MIT Health Science and Technology, Harvard Medical School, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, MA. Dr. El Assal received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from Ajman University of Science and Technology, Ajman, UAE in 2007. His research interests revolved around the applications of nanotechnology and bio-inspired materials in dentistry and medicine, including regenerative, transfusion, and transplantation medicine. Dr. El Assal has published more than 32 conference abstracts and peer-reviewed articles prestigious and high impact journals, including Advanced Materials (Impact Factor: 17.49) and Materials Today (IF: 10.85). His work has been highlighted in several news such as Reuters News, Yahoo-finance, BioSpace, EIN News, AZoNano, and Stem Cell Therapy. Dr. El Assal research achievements have been recognized by the Center of Nanoscale Systems (CNS) at Harvard University. Recently, he has been named as a Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International (USA), International Academy of Dental-Facial Esthetics (USA), and International Academy of Oral Oncology (UK). Dr. El Assal is serving as a reviewer and in the editorial board of esteemed journals, including Scientific Report (Nature Publications), Chemistry Communication (RSC Publications), Analyst (RSC Publications), Journal of Dental Research (Sage Publications), Journal of Dentistry, Oral Health & Therapy (Symbiosis Publications), International Journal of Orthopaedics (ACT Publications), and Journal of Tumor (ACT Publications)
