Trials are in phase 2 to assess the utility and efficacy of 5-aminolevulinic acid for detecting brain tumour to perform surgery. For better understudying trials are being performed on glioma and meningioma.
Phase 2 trials are for metastatic cancer patients for determining the combination effect of surgery and gliadel insertion.
