Defines a process in which recombinant DNA molecules are produced and further transformed into a host organism, where they are replicated. This process consists of two components: 1)The DNA fragment of interest to be replicated. 2)A vector/plasmid backbone containing all the components for replication in host. The DNA of interest like Operon is prepared for cloning by exercising it out of the source DNA using restriction enzymes and using PCR for copying it moreover assembling it from individual oligonucleotides.
