The abnormality or defect in structure of heart and greater blood vessels present at the birth is termed as congenital heart disease. These defects are the main cause of deaths related to birth defects. These defects are classified into Hypoplasia, Obstruction defects, Septal defects and Cyanotic defects. Symptoms include abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias), cyanosis, dizziness or fainting, shortness of breath and edema.
