Cost-of-illness (COI) studies aim to assess the economic burden of health issues on the population overall, and they are conducted for associate degree ever widening vary of health conditions and geographical settings. Whereas they attract abundant interest from public health advocates and attention policy manufacturers, inconsistencies within the means within which they're conducted and an absence of transparency in reporting have created interpretation troublesome, and have seemingly restricted their usefulness.
