Gastrointestinal bleeding is the bleeding that occurs in gastrointestinal tract can be from any part of the GI tract esophagus, stomach, large intestine, small intestine, colon, rectum and anus. GI bleeding is diagnosed with endoscopy. Gastrointestinal bleeding is the result of peptic ulcers, inflammation in GI tract, colitis, colonic polyps etc.
