German Measles (Rubella)

Rubella (German measles) is an infection caused by the rubella virus. Rubella is a viral respiratory disease that's relatively mild and somewhat contagious Rubella isn't dangerous to young children, but it can be devastating to unborn babies during the first trimester. In fact, the vaccine was developed primarily to protect women of childbearing age before they become pregnant.

It Spreads, When an infected person talks, coughs or sneezes small droplets containing infectious agents into the air. The droplets in the air may be breathed in by those nearby. By indirect contact with hands, tissues or other articles soiled by nose and throat discharges.
