Health Informatics
Healthcare Informatics is a new branch of medical science that connects information technology with health care. It helps to retrieve, store and acquire more information such as a patient’s records in a secured manner. This makes the patients to feel safer with their records. It stores information about various healthcare providers who get collaborated with hospitals and other health care organizations.
Health informatics is an evolving specialization that links information technology, communications and healthcare to improve the quality and safety of patient care. Though the concept of health IT includes the use of technology in the healthcare field, health informatics is not synonymous with health IT.
