A stent is said to be a small mesh tube that is employed to treat narrow or weak arteries. The blood vessels that carry blood away from your heart to other body parts are called vessels. A stent is settled in an artery as part of a procedure known as percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) normally referred as coronary angioplasty.
