HIV-1 identified mainly as the primary cause of the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome.Hiv-1 is the prototypical member of the Lentivirinae subfamily of retroviruses which mainly affects humans. The reteroviruses that are capable of replication comprises three genes-gag,pol and env where the gag and the env genes encodes the core nucleocapsid polypedpites and surface coat proteins of the virus and the pol gives rise to viral reverse transcriptase and other enzymatic activities.
