Silver nanoparticles are nanoparticles of silver of between 1 nm and 100 nm in size. Silver nanoparticles can be synthesized by several methods. They can be divided into three broad categories: wet chemistry, ion implantation, or biogenic synthesis. Most common applications are for medicinal or antibacterial purposes. They are also used to deliver various payloads such as small drug molecules or large biomolecules to specific targets.
