Thoracoscopic Surgery is a minimal invasive surgery used to diagnose and treat the Chest problems. Thoracoscopic surgery can be performed by introducing small video camera in chest via scope. So that surgeon can view the instrument will operating, Camera and instruments are inserted through separate holes called ‘ports’.
Surgeons use the video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery technique to perform a variety of operations, such as biopsy to diagnose lung cancer, mesothelioma and other chest cancers, esophagectomy, hiatal hernia repair and lung surgery etc.
