Journal of Trauma & Treatment is pleased to announce Special issue on “Managing Stress Associated with the COVID-19 Virus Outbreak”.
COVID-19 quickly became characterized as a Global Pandemic by March of 2020. Given the rapid acceleration of transmission and the lack of preparedness to prevent and treat this virus, the negative impacts of COVID-19 are rippling through every facet of society. This has sparked perpetual worldwide fear, panic, anxiety, depression and distress along with concern for suicide, grief, post-traumatic stress and long term mental health disorders largely focused on patients and their family members.
A 14-day self-quarantine revealed that anxiety was positively associated with stress and reduced sleep quality, and, along with stress, also reduced the positive effects of social capital, these can easily affect the immune system. So coping with stress will make you, the people you care about, and your community stronger. With the same purpose our Journal “Journal of Trauma & Treatment” is announcing Special issue Call for paper on “Managing Stress Associated with the COVID-19 Virus Outbreak”. We welcome both solicited and unsolicited submissions that will contribute to this special issue.
