Issues in Acquiring Digital Evidence from Cloud

Now a day cloud computing is grow day by day. We know that today many companies hire the cloud services from the cloud service providers. They are working as a third party. They are providing the software and hardware as a service. Client and the cloud service providers may be belong to the different place.

Because of the nature of the cyber space, there is no physical boundary. If suppose that crime scene occur in this scenario then the investigator face the many problems like collection to the evidence because we know that cloud forensic is the subset of the network forensic. So there is difficulty to identify the source. If suppose that investigator able to find the location, which exist outside the county then the jurisdiction issue will be occur. We know that every country has own jurisdiction. In this paper we will discussed the issues relating to the collection and acquisition the digital evidence with help of the real scenario. And we also discuss the some tool which is help in the collection evidence from the remote location.

A Typical Kronlein Shot? A Rare Case of Submental-Facio-Cranial Bullet Trajectory with Brain Exenteration

The "Krönlein" shot (evisceration of the brain) is a very rare injury of the skull caused by a high-velocity bullet. This type of low-range shot wound involves is a broad opening of the skull with laceration of the dura mater. In the past, several cases of this particular injury have been reported and all led to immediate death. R U Kronlein first described this phenomenon in 1889. Since then, this unique firearm wound and its mechanics have been discussed from time to time. The authors present an atypical presentation of Kronlein shot, wherein the entry wound was situated on the submandibular triangle instead of the typical head region. The bullet track was through the floor of mouth, further on to enter the cranial cavity to cause a blowout fracture defect with the brain being eviscerated out of the skull.

Rare Case of Choking Death by Dispersible Tablet: A Case Report

Choking is a form of asphyxia caused by an obstruction within the air passage. Aspiration of a foreign body is common in children and cause upper airway obstruction leading to significant morbidity and mortality. In most of the cases, death is due to mechanical obstruction of airway, in some cases, death may be due to reflex spasm of respiratory tract or by neurogenic cardiac arrest. Deaths due to choking are relatively rare occurrence.

Determination of Sequence of Strokes Using Docubox Dragon

Sequence of strokes is the sequence in which writing strokes are placed on the paper. To analyze whether the documents such as wills, letters, contracts, etc. are genuine or not, determination of sequence of strokes becomes necessary. In the present study Stereomicroscope and Docubox Dragon were used for observation and examination of the exemplars. The sequences of strokes in the exemplars were primarily observed using Stereomicroscope and the forged exemplars were further examined using Docubox Dragon. It was observed that stereomicroscope was used for preliminary examination whereas through Docubox Dragon detailed and evident results were obtained using various light sources and filters.

Prediction of Stature from Somatometry of the Left Hand in Igbos, Nigeria

The identification of a person is based on some biological profiles. Stature is one of such; its prediction plays important role in forensic investigation. An attempt was made to establish the stature of the Igbos using left finger lengths, hand length and hand breadth. The correlation between stature and hand dimensions was studied. Which of the hand segments is the best to predict the stature of the Igbos? 88 males and 123 females were included in this study after obtaining informed consent. Measurements of hand segments were taken using Sliding Caliper and the height was recorded using Anthropometer. The data were subjected for statistical analysis. Significant correlation between stature and the entire hand dimensions was established except hand breadth (HB) in the females. Independent linear regression equations to calculate the stature were obtained for hand segments in both genders put together, in males and females separately. Hand length had the best prediction power in both genders put together as well as in the females. In males, the best prediction power was observed in fourth digit length followed by hand length. The multiple linear regression model generated for both genders put together performed better than the simple linear regression models for the males or females.
