Kalyan Raman is a Professor in the Medill IMC department, Affiliated Professor of Marketing in the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, and Visiting Scholar at the International Monetary Fund in Washington DC.He attended graduate school at Purdue University, W. Lafayette, Indiana, obtained a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 2011 from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI, and aPh.D. in Management Sciencein 1985 from the University of Texas, Dallas, TX. He holds a M.S. in Statistics and minors in Mathematics and Mathematical Economics. Kalyan specializes in marketing mix optimization and resource allocation problems. Kalyan’s interdisciplinary expertise includes random signal processing and computational methods in electrical engineering and neuroscience. Kalyan developed a nonlinear feedback controller to automatically regulate intracranial pressure, which is now being patented (U.S. Serial No. 61/276,672).
